How to make the Christmas dance AI video

Updated

The fastest way is one step on this site: pick Duo, Solo or Pet, add your photos and pay once. If you would rather prompt a video model yourself, below are the moves, the scene, a starting prompt and the problems we ran into while building it.

Make my Christmas dance video

Make the Christmas dance AI video in one step

  1. Pick a version. Choose Duo for two people, Solo for just you, or Pet for your pets.
  2. Add your photos. Duo and Pet take two photos, Solo takes one standing photo from head to knees. No prompt to write.
  3. Pay once, get your video. Pay $9.99 for one video, no sign-up. Your 9:16 vertical video is usually ready in about 3 minutes. Download it or share it from the page.

Which version fits your photos:

  • Duo (2 photos of people, one for the left dancer and one for the right): The two of you take the places of the mother and daughter in the kitchen from the Christmas pajama version of the trend, doing the same moves with the same timing. About 12 seconds.
  • Solo (1 standing photo of one person, from head to knees): You do the Christmas dance moves by yourself, in the setting of your own photo.
  • Pet (2 pet photos, or the same photo twice if you have one pet): Your pets stand up and dance on an office Christmas party stage with a red banner, stage lights and two Christmas trees. Only one pet? Use its photo for both spots and it dances with its twin.

Which photos work for a Christmas dance video?

Full-body or head-to-knee photos work best, because the Christmas dance uses the arms, hips and a spin. Good photos: one person or one pet per photo, facing the camera; standing, with the body in frame (head to knees for solo); good light, face clear and not covered. Avoid: children, celebrities or strangers; group photos; very dark, blurry or cut off at the chest. Use only photos of yourself, of adults who agreed to it, or of your own pets. Photos of children are not allowed, even though many original Christmas dance videos are whole families.

The Christmas dance, beat by beat

The original Christmas dance clips are about 14 seconds long, filmed vertically on a phone that does not move. Two or three people stand side by side and do the routine together, facing the camera:

  1. Open with both hands at the collar.
  2. Sway the hips side to side.
  3. Roll the arms in front of the chest.
  4. Bump hips with your partner and do a small hop.
  5. Spin once, quickly.
  6. Raise both fists and finish with a clap.

The song is DJ Izzy Duzzit’s Deck the Halls remix (see What is the Christmas dance trend? for the full story). The Duo version on this site uses the kitchen and timing of the mother-daughter pajama clip from November 5, 2026.

Write your own Christmas dance AI prompt

If you use a video model that takes a reference video and photos, this starting prompt describes the scene and the moves. It is a starting point, not a tested recipe: results vary by model, and you will likely need several tries.

Vertical 9:16 video, one continuous take, fixed camera. A bright home kitchen with white walls and dark cabinets. Two people stand side by side, facing the camera, in loose matching plaid Christmas pajamas, barefoot. They do a short routine with the same timing: hands at the collar, hip sways, rolling arms, a hip bump and a small hop, a quick spin, raised fists and a clap at the end. The left dancer has the face, hair and body of the first photo; the right dancer has the face, hair and body of the second photo. The window light falls on them like on the room, and they cast soft shadows on the floor. Each person has exactly two arms and two hands in every frame, including during the spin. Never swap the two faces. No on-screen text, no dialogue, no music.

Generate without music and add the song afterwards. If you post on TikTok, you can pick DJ Izzy Duzzit’s original sound from TikTok’s sound library instead of adding it to the file.

Common Christmas dance AI problems and how to fix them

These are the problems we saw ourselves while testing Christmas dance AI videos on November 8, 2026, and what helped:

  • An extra hand during the spin. Say in the prompt that each person has exactly two arms and two hands in every frame, including the spin and the clap.
  • The dancers look pasted into the kitchen. Describe the light: the window light falls on them like on the room, and they cast soft shadows on the floor.
  • Clothes from the photo stay on. Say that only the faces and bodies come from the photos and the clothes come from the scene. Even then, one dancer may keep their own outfit.
  • The first second still shows the original dancers. Trim the first two seconds and start the song from the same point.

On this site, a video that fails to generate gives the credit back automatically, and if you are not happy with the result you can email us for a refund of the original payment.
